Squirrel Hunt, With Sam

well it was too windy to go in bush to hunt deer this morning, so went squirrel hunting at the farmers house and neighbours house. The farmer says there are 20 squirrels in his yard and neighbour has 5, so I show up, guess they don't like the wind either as nowhere near that many squirrels about. I saw 6 in total, got 4. The other 2 managed to get into old barn before I could get shot. Still a great day and Sam was amazing getting 2 of them in spots I would have had a hard time getting into.

Chevy, yes Sam and I do everything together and considering this time last year she was gun shy it is really amazing. Now she sees the gun and starts to bounce up and down. I never have to pick up anything anymore now that she is no long shy. She is also a really good tracker as well for deer.

had 2 of the squirrels tonight for supper, lightly floured and butter fried, so good.
