Nice. I was out today as well in the North Bay area. Seen three (two flyers and one walker) the walker came home with me...

I also brought along my fishing rod to try for some late season splake but...no luck. I guess I have to wait for hard water season.

Cheers

agree one is better then nothing. Always go to get out of the house and get some fresh air. how has the winds been up there, does that affect the birds. I think the wind effects my squirrel hunting as I only got 2 the last time out and it was really windy

Winds come and go so does the snow temperture has been changing lots from snow to rain /local lake has ice and the odd person is daring enough to go on it for a fish

It was definitely breezy for sure but the birds didn't seem to be too bothered by it. There were two birds together and one flew to a nearby tree the other just walked a few feet then stop. After I fired, the one in the tree took off. The third bird was in a tree when I seen it and flew into some thick spruce. When I approached the trees, it took off. All in all it was a good day. Calling for rain tonight and tomorrow so that will definitely slow down the ice forming on the smaller back lakes. I guess I should have kept the small 12' boat ready to go...lol

I like to cut them into small bite size pieces and coat then in flower, salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder. A few minutes in a hot pan with a little oil is all that is needed. My wife said it's better then bacon in the morning. (but bacon is probably cheaper...)
