Well been hunting up north since Wednesday nights only. Nothing 1st night. Saw 1 yesterday but it busted me. Tonight the last night. 415 had big fawn stop in shooting lane 25ft out. Doe following so waited. Then 4 more show up. Now I knew I was in trouble as to many eyes and I was right. After 19 minutes they spotted me and broke. 515 2 more come in trail 39yd out. Fawn gives me shot but hold. Then fawn goes back were I can't see si decide which ever shows up for shot I'd take it. Turns out it was the doe. Run about 80yds into swamp. Tuff drag out.

Sorry guys, I was using my phone last night to post. The yardage should have been 29yds. I', never shoot at 39yds. I couldn't find the exit hole until I skinned it today, very strange. As I was shooting at about a 45deg angle down I aimed high to try for top of lung on one side and bottom to lung other side. Well in was about where I was aiming for height but was back to far. Exit was just as high on the other side, with hole going through liver. Can't really figure that out as it should have come out low on the deer.
