Well just finished one week of watching birds and squirrels from my tree stand. My trail cams sure demonstrated a healthy herd of various deer sizes during the night, but come daybreak ,bye bye all gone, did not see one deer in over 40hrs in the stand. How did everyone else do?

Didn’t see any…a few on cams at night, nowhere to be found in the day. A couple fairy tame foxes, and a scared tiny cub bear were the highlights for wildlife at our camp.

Same scenario for the week. First thing opening morning a youg buck walked by and my "partner in crime" harvested him. Some good eats for sure. Myself I only shot a branch -- tried for a coyote that was in a clump of small trees; oh, the tree will be fine!
The old fellow here with a limp never showed during daylight hours.

That’s good advice Buckmaster. My trail cams are showing me daytime pictures of bucks. Why wife took a small 7 pointer at 3:45 on Saturday with her bow, good hunting board members

I can't tell you how many times I have gone out a little earlier in the afternoon & seen Bucks chasing one another.
Try going out at 8:00 a.m. and sitting until 10:00 or later too. You may be surprised what goes on after a lot of guys pack it up and go home.
We are 7 guys hunting. 4 of them stay all day. I go to work and shuffle papers then go back out at 2:00 and still see nuthin.
It's kinda strange not seeing any does at all. They are all across the hiway. See them in the fields almost every day...8-10 of them. Never on this side of the hiway this year.
