Deer, Any success?

I have only been out once and that was only to put out a camera the farmer wanted me to put out. Been really to warm for hunting, i was talking to my butcher the other day and he had only taken in one deer. thinking sunday morning is going to be my next time out.

I agree, it has been an awfully warm start to the season. However, if you don’t make it out to the stands, no venison for you. Lol.
Feel fortunate that I have sat in my stand 5 or 6 times since the opener, only in the mornings, and have had some great sits with lots of buck activity on my food plot.
Did manage to score on one of my target deer last week, a very nice mature
10 pt., which I had 3 prior encounters with, all before legal shooting hours in the AM. 4th time was the charm, he hung around a little too long, 10 minutes after legal shooting hours.

Had a buck come in last night in the rain. He had the smallest rack I have ever seen. It took me 10 minutes to realize that he wasn't a doe. I have a doe tag but let him go. Hope it gives me good carma. Cheers

I got a new property only a week or so ago.

After a quick scout I put out a stand and have to wait a week for the control to be over to hunt. First morning after the stand was put up I got a nice 6 point on camera. I hope no one gets it in the control.
