Well I sighted in my gun for turkey's, have cleaned it bought more shells, which I didn't need. My vest is packed and ready to go. I have an orange bag that I have packed with 2 hen decoys, thermocell, couple different calls, extra hat, ghillie suit out, jacket ready, boots are in jeep alredy. Only thing left to do is bake 3 pies on Friday to give to the farmer. I put up cameras couple days ago and dropped off cookies, and home made jellies.

Don't forget to pack the umbrella opener looks rainy. With it falling on Saturday this year choose to work but have the week of the 27th off. Will be out Friday putting up a pop up blind for rainy days however prefer being out with my back against a tree. Best of luck and keep us posted either here and/or there.

Have had Toms and Jakes walking our farm quite often recently. But if history repeats they'll disappear in a few hrs until end of May. They know, dammit, they just know!

Bagged a jake at 7:00 this morning. Gobbled till 6:30 them came in silent. Came within 10 yards of my decoys but saw something he didn't like & took off. Made a long shot with the 3 1/2 turkey load. Sure beats the 2 3/4 crap we used to use. Cheers

Not a drop of rain up here in Harcourt for the past week or so. Three different gobblers yesterday morning but I think the winter put a hard beating on them. Jake was a big bird but only weighed 16 lbs. Cheers
